Waited in line outside to get in. Concrete WAS marked off at what looked like 6’ intervals. No problem. Didn’t take long and I was allowed to enter. As I walked in a small sign to the left of the entrance stated that ** 50 ** people were allowed into the store at one time. The minute I walked through the door I immediately knew that there were WAY MORE than the 50 people in that store all at once! At one point I counted 10 or more people just in the aisle I was in! I immediately walked back up to the front of the store to voice my displeasure at the management’s OUTRIGHT DISREGARD FOR THE SAFETY OF ALL SHOPPERS! The response I received from one of Danvers’ maroon jacketed managers? “If you don’t like it don’t shop here!” NEVER HAVE I ** EVER ** been treated so rudely or spoken to so harshly EVER in any retail store in my entire life! First of all the Town of Danvers has an obligation to ALL Market Basket Shoppers to be sure that the 50 person capacity limit is enforced! Upper management of Market Basket should speak to the red-jacketed manager who exhibited EXTREMELY POOR customer service and OUTRIGHT RUDENESS TO ME! If he cannot live up to Market Basket’s high quality of customer satisfaction then HE DOESN’T DESERVE TO HAVE A JOB! I only wish I got his name, but, I don’t think he would be too hard to pick out as he was rather tall. I (usually) am a proud Market Basket shopper, but, this visit just didn’t sit right with me at all. Hopefully, the store’s capacity limit will be strictly enforced from this point on for EVERYONE’S HEALTH AND SAFETY. I would also hope that management would speak to this man and teach him a thing or two about proper customer service. The way I was spoken to during yesterday’s visit was just disgraceful! Stay safe and well, everyone!
